Ask for a stationary demonstration with clear space above and beside the car. Learn the required conditions and warning messages from the exact handbook. Keep people and belongings out of moving areas, and ask the retailer to explain what to do if a movement stops unexpectedly.
Test the supplied key and any supported connected-access features using the official instructions. Confirm the approved route when the car is unresponsive. Do not experiment with powered mechanisms or emergency releases merely to see what happens.
Check visibility, seating, demisting, boot access and charging-cable storage before a longer trip. Plan a charging stop with enough room to get in and out comfortably. Keep a larger time reserve while you learn how this car behaves in everyday conditions.
